Our Doctrinal Statement
One Lord, one faith, one baptism. (Ephesians 4:5)

The Mission of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church is to effect lives with the love and life of Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Romans 3:23, 6:23)

The Mandate of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church is to evangelize. (Matthew 28:18)

The Purpose of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church is to equip Believers for the work of the ministry. (Ephesians 4:11-12)


Our Statement of Belief

We believe that scripture (Bible) is the verbal inspired word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that within the Nature of God there are three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and these three are one. (1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe that God is a person. (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 100:3; John 3: 16; John 5:16)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; that He is true God and Man. (John 1:1, 14; Galatians 4:4; Philippians 2:6,7; Romans 8:3; Hebrews 1 :5-8; 2:14)

We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:35; Hebrews 9:14)

We believe in the Virgin birth of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 4:4)

We believe, for a person to become a Christian that you must recognize you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23) Repent from your sin. (Acts 8:22) Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation. (Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8-9) Pray for your salvation, confess to God in the name of Jesus ask for forgiveness of sins.

We believe that baptism is to be by immersion. We do not believe baptism is essential for salvation, but it is an act of Christian obedience symbolizing the believer's experience of salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:4)

We believe that the church is a local body of, scriptural Baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1 :22-23; 5:24-25; Colossians 1: 18)

We believe that the Lord Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper on the night in which He was betrayed. (Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-261 Luke 22:17-20)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:3-9; 12-20; Acts 2:22-24, 32)

We believe that Christ ascended to heaven. (Mark 16:19; Luke 24:20, 41)

We believe in the second coming of Christ. (Job 19:25, 26; Daniel 7:13, 14; Zechariah 14:4; Malachi 3:1, 2)

We believe in Christ return openly to the earth. (Jude 1:14; Acts 1:10-11)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of believers. (Job 19:25-26)

We believe that the body of the unbeliever will be raised and consigned to eternal punishment. (John 5:28-29; Matthew 10:28)

We believe that each Christian should proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15-16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; John 3:14-15)

We believe that one must personally receive Jesus Christ. (1 John 1: 12; Ephesians 2:8-9)
